The 2CD Deluxe Edition of the 1968 original, contained in a multi-gatefold digipak and 23-page booklet. Had this one from new, listened to it once. No reason for that, maybe I focused on the vinyl version. I have actually grown to like Bolan more, the older I get. The diddy promo sticker on the front has been retained from the shrink wrap. Discogs lists the release date as 2015 but the rear of the sleeve states 2014, so I’m sticking with that. Plays perfectly.

EMERSON, LAKE & PALMER – ONCE UPON A TIME IN SOUTH AMERICA

Released: 2015

The first time I took this one out of the shrink wrap was to test it for a listen through, prior to sale. I didn’t plan it like that, it just happened that way.
So I finally got around to hearing this one and it plays perfectly, a 4CD package presented in a multi-gatefold digipak plus a fold-out, six-page booklet. The text of which tells you nothing at all above and beyond what you’re listening to although the images, especially of the South American promo poster, are worth a look. This is a compilation of concert performances from Argentina, Chile and Brazil. Sounds like the audiences enjoyed themselves.

The first ever published soundtrack of this classic film. My personal favourite film, actually. The best ever, in my opinion. This CD – which plays perfectly – combines speech excerpts with music from the film, found after a fortunate discovery after delving in the archives. If you have never seen the film itself, do so before listening to this CD because the CD contains a successful summary of the plot. Features rarity outtakes and an excellent, informative booklet. Plays perfectly but visually has a few marks.

When this collection was being created, I worked with the owner of the record label in order to provide editorial for the release launch here in the UK. He was kind enough to send over a copy for me to keep. Also includes an excellent 32-page booklet.

An experimental mini-album created by Tim Gane, Sean O’Hagan, Andy Ramsay, and Fulton Dingley. It sounds distinctly Stereolab and should be grabbed by any fan of the latter. This release was apparently created with self-imposed time and creativity restrictions on one hand but with the ultimate aim to have fun. So a good time was had by all in the studio, reportedly. This one was produced for the guys, not the record label. An instrumental album although Laetitia Sadier does do a spot of warbling on one track.
