Featuring acoustic treatment inside the earcups and a “thermoformed” woven carrying case in colours to match the headphones
Focal continue to expand their headphones range with this new announcement. Featuring 40mm magnesium/aluminium, M-shaped, full-range drivers, the Focal Celestee headphones arrive in a semi-aniline leather finish. Oh and with “soft copper”. Don’t forget the soft copper.
The closed-back Celestee design offers a 35 Ohm impedance with a 5Hz-23kHz frequency response and a 105db sensitivity.
You get a 1.2m cable with an unbalanced 3.5mm termination and an adaptor for 6.35mm use.
The headphones weigh in at 430g while the case spans 250 x 240 x 120mm.
The new Focal Celestee design is out now for £999.

Whilst I don’t think the Celestee offers enough to be worth an upgrade from my Elegias, do you think Focal may release a closed back model, using the same drivers as the Clear Mg?

I don’t see why not, Bob – the company seems to be quite active so I’d keep a news look out. In the meantime, I’ll ask around. If I get anything, I’ll send you another reply.
