SEISMION: I THINK I’M TURNING MECHATRONIC

Apparently, German manufacturer Seismion specialise in advanced “mechatronic systems and vibration technology”. Which explains this new box, then

It’s also quite the mouth full. More than that, the company has now signed up a UK distribution deal with HiFi Doctor so this high-end tech is now available in in the UK.

This new box is aimed at active vibration isolation which has apparently been sold to companies in the fields of semiconductor production and meteorology. Well, now it’s entered the HiFi field. 

The box you see here, the Reactio 2, sits underneath your turntable, amplifier, whatever it might be  including speakers up to a weight of 65 kg. There is a Reactio 2 XL  rated up to 150 kg.

Reportedly placed inside are multiple deflection sensors and motors. The vibration sensors apparently utilise differential measurement technology, significantly reducing susceptibility to interference.

Each isolator is hand-finished in Hannover, Measuring  500 x 400 mm prices are: Reactio 2 £10,250; Reactio 2 XL £12,750.
