ROTEL RETURNS TO PASSIVE SPEAKERS (NEWS)

Rotel is making a return to passive loudspeakers with the Amora 5, a two-way stand-mount model costing £999 per pair

It combines a 25mm silk-dome tweeter with a 165mm woven-fibre composite mid/bass driver. Sensitivity is 87dB and Rotel recommends amplifiers rated from 30W.

The drive units sit inside an MDF cabinet featuring a rear-facing reflex port. Twin sets of gold-plated terminals allow either single or bi-wiring and the removable grille attaches magnetically.

Available in matte black or matte white, each speaker measures 350 x 190 x 300mm. The Amora 5 is out now, with pricing set at £999, €999 or $999 per pair.
