HiFi NEWS: ONKYO, KLIPSCH & MORE – 19 JULY 2026 (UPDATED)

New audio launches from Muse, Onkyo, Klipsch and Majority include streaming amps, powered speakers, HDMI ARC, hi-res streaming and phono support

ONKYO’S MUSE SERIES 80TH EDITION: Y-50 NETWORK INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER
Featuring Bordeaux walnut side panels, an aluminium Champaign Gold front panel and patterned ventilated top plate inspired by Japanese culture, the Y-50(G) includes a 136mm colour LCD and pushes out 125W of Class D power into 8 Ohms.
Connectivity includes RCA, coax, HDMI, HDMI Arc, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, a phono amplifier is built in, support is provided for Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, Google Cast and Qplay.
Price is $1,699.

ONKYO CREATER POWERED SPEAKERS
Onkyo’s Creator GX-30ARC and GX-10DB Powered Monitor Anniversary Limited Edition speakers also include Bordeaux walnut plus angled stands. Class D amplification is used within plus features such as Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, optical, a built-in phono amplifier and a subwoofer output. The differences between the two are not overly detailed here although we do know that the more expensive GX-30ARC features HDMI ARC.

KLIPSCH’S NEW POWERED SPEAKERS
Klipsch is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2026. To that end, it has announced: The Fives II, The Sevens II and The Nines II powered speakers with its patented horn-loaded technology, that’s also now powered by Onkyo electronics.
Features include a single piece BMC baffle with integrated, Tractrix horn and Jet Cerametallic woofers (133mm, 165mm and 203mm respectively).
Supported is Dolby Atmos while the Nines II also add DTS:X and the Sevens II and The Nines II also include Dirac Live.
Expect to see HDMI 2.1, HDMI eARC, optical, coax, analogue input and USB-C as well as a phono amplifier.
Streaming includes Google Cast, Apple  AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon Ready and more.

The Nines II: €2,499/pair

MAJORITY AUDIO LINKS 
The UK outfit is offing an array of new releases. To begin, the Link Mini adds streaming capabilities to older Bluetooth speakers, HiFi systems or radios. Featuring AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, it combines analogue and optical outputs with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE and Auracast compatibility. Price is £59.95.
A step up is the Link View that includes a 53mm circular touchscreen display and rotary touch dial for a more visual experience. Price is £89.95.
If you want more then the Link Pro features a 102mm colour display, DAB/DAB+ radio and internet radio support. It combines streaming features with traditional listening sources alongside HDMI ARC. Price is £229.95.
The flagship Link Pro Amp is an all-in-one streaming amplifier developed for passive speakers. Delivering 300W of output through a Texas Instruments Class-D amplifier, the Link Pro Amp combines streaming, DAB radio and amplification in one compact box. Connectivity includes HDMI ARC, optical input, USB playback, Ethernet, analogue input and a subwoofer output.
Price is £299.95.
