BLUETOOTH AND COLOUR FOR E1.2 RANGE (NEWS)

Turntable specialists, Pro-Ject, has expanded its E1.2 turntable range with the BT and Phono variants

The E1.2 BT features a new Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.4 transmitter supporting aptX HD and aptX Adaptive. It can send vinyl playback directly to compatible wireless speakers, headphones and amplifiers. A dedicated pairing button should also make connecting new devices easier.

Its plug-and-play design includes factory-adjusted tracking force and anti-skating, a Pick it MM E cartridge and a 730g die-cast aluminium platter.

Standard finishes are high gloss black, satin white and Walnut. Five hand-painted colour versions are also available.

The E1.2 Phono adds a switchable phono amplifier, allowing connection to a normal line input.

Available now, the E1.2 BT costs from £399, while colour versions cost £449 (you’d be surprised just how much of the overall budget a finish will add to the final price of any hardware, speakers are the worst incidentally with ‘real’ veneer adding major percentage points). The E1.2 Phono is priced at £319.
