Like its 3000c family members, the 6 Ohm 3040c uses the C3 (pronounced ‘C-cubed’) Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass profile
The twin 120mm C3 mid/bass drivers sits above and below the 22mm tweeter, a “floating” design that is hermetically sealed and mechanically isolated from the baffle.
The cabinet is built using P2P (Point to Point) bracing to reduce low-end vibrations. To prevent the internal build-up of pressure, Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser tubes are fitted inside the cabinet.
Finishes are satin black, satin white, pink Oak and claro Walnut. With a 88db sensitivity, you need a 25W or more amplifier, to use them properly. Prices are £599, €899 or $1,099.
