E50 II DAC FROM TOPPING

Priced at just £199, the E50 II is based upon the AK4497S, a new DAC chip representing the latest version of the company’s Velvet Sound concept

Which says a lot for a lower cost DAC to feature such chip technology.

Proprietary tech includes TopSync circuit with JitterNull processing using FPGA Phase-Locked Loop to deliver precise data synchronisation.

The fully balanced circuitry includes USB-C, optical and coaxial digital inputs plus Bluetooth that supports LDAC and aptX Adaptive plus aptX HD.

Supporting up to 32bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512, parametric EQ is included. Control is offered via an app, dedicated remote and a front mounted touch control.
