Brushes, liquids, gels… everyone has an opinion on stylus cleaning. I cut through the ‘fluff’, talk to Ortofon & Goldring and test gel cleaners to find the lowest-risk way to keep your stylus clean

Just watched your stylus cleaning video.
My cartridge is a Benz Glider MC cartridge which was retipped by Expert Stylus and Cartridge Company, aka Expert Pickups. https://expertstylus.co.uk/
They recommend a non alcoholic spectacle cleaner, I use one sold by a leading supermarket chain beginning with A!
I apply the solution using a very fine carbon fibre brush. Looking a the stylus under a microscope after cleaning, the brush does a first class job of removing the contaminants.
Whilst watching the video of a still photo of a turntable with gasses of wine close by, not very good practice!
Will your next stylus cleaning video be dedicated to ultrasonic cleaners? These do not come recommended by Expert.
