I’m a very happy Accession owner and recently got my hands on Elevator EXP though I’ve not had been able to use it yet as I don’t have a MC cartridge. Currently using a Goldring 1042 which I’m really impressed with, do you any suggestions for MC cartridges worth a try as a first step up from the 1042?
As Mr Slee goes to great lengths to point out, the Elevator EXP is a Step Up Amplifier not a Transformer (https://www.hifisystemcomponents.com/phono-preamps/elevator-exp-mc-step-up-amp.html). That said, have you had an opportunity to compare it with a SUT, maybe the Aurorasound AFE-12 you reviewed recently which is in a similar price range to the EXP?
