Audio-Technica has released a limited-edition slipmat for a Ukraine fundraiser
Audio-Technica has released 300 limited-edition turntable slipmats, featuring artwork by calligraphy and lettering artist Eugene Berd, who is based in Kyiv.
A full 100% of the sales will be split evenly between the largest children’s hospital in Ukraine and the animal charity, UAnimals.
Both charities were carefully selected with the help of the artist.
This design focuses on some of Ukraine’s iconic symbols — a blue/yellow palette of colors and flowers, representing peace and life.
His mandala-like art pieces come from a long period of researching European and Arabic calligraphy and now he’s trying to bring these classical ideas into modern mediums, from old vinyl records to skateboards and mirrors.
The 12” slipmat is 2mm thick (+/-0.5mm) and made from medium-density felt. It is glazed on the printed side.
The printed design leaves no raised areas on the surface of the slipmat and is printed right to the edge.
The limited-edition slipmats are available exclusively at www.audio-technica.com in the UK and Europe for £12/€15.
