OMEX ISOLATION SYMPHONY A AND S
10th January 2024
Symphony A and Symphony S isolation feet, arriving in two and three layers, are designed to isolate HiFi components and speakers
Each Symphony device offers grooved top/bottom surfaces for extra grip
Symphony A is machined from an Aluminium Polymer Compound (APC). Symphony S is machined from a high-grade brass, which is 24ct gold plated in order to reportedly give a softer barrier between the brass and the Stainless Steel disc.
The centre section of each ‘foot’ is not in contact with the equipment directly, in order not to activate them with the first-hand generated resonances. Each centre section sits within its own chamber, surrounded with a damping compound and runs down through each device.
For speaker support, this centre section doubles up as the spike shoe.
Residing between each disc of the Symphony layers are an arrangement of ball bearings. Symphony A uses a stainless steel option (which can be upgraded to ceramic) and Symphony S which utilises a ceramic option.
The company says that resonances are driven to this area, where they can convert and dissipate this energy as small amounts of heat. The bearings have CNC cups machined into each layer.
Symphony A will accommodate a weight of 45kg each and Symphony S 80kg per device.
The 2-disc version sits 20mm tall and 40mm in diameter. The 3-disc version sits 30mm tall and 40mm in diameter
