Mystic Moving Coil Cartridge From Vertere
6th December 2019
Resplendent in a sapphire blue anodised finish, the Mystic arrives in a chassis machined from solid aluminium alloy
…and while we’re on the subject of the Mystic chassis, it has been, “…mass-tuned to the generator for optimum support and control of unwanted mechanical vibrations,” said the company.
Installers will be happy to learn that it includes a threaded body to accept the supplied stainless steel thumb screws.
There’s three contact points machined into the top of the body that provide, “…the exact mechanical coupling required.”
You’ll also find an alignment ridge on the front top that assists mounting.
The low mass generator utilises a Samarium-Cobalt magnet with a low-mass cross coil made of pure virgin copper wires.
Theres an aluminium 7000 telescopic tube cantilever and, hanging off the end of that is a micro Elliptical diamond stylus tip.
Tracking weight for the Mystic is 2g while the whole thing weighs 9.1g.

Hi Paul
Do you intend to make à review of this cartridge ?
Thanks a lot
Frédéric
It’s not on my immediate list, no. I recently reviewed the company’s turntable but my review queue is so long that I’m giving one slot per company for now.
