The company has announced its new, fourth generation, M6 player featuring a customised Android OS and based upon a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430CPU
Expect to find 4GB of ROM with 32GB built-in memory inside the M6. The reported maximum support for external memory cards is 2TB.
In terms of the sound generation, the M6 features twin AKM AK 4495SEQ DACs with both 3.5mm single-ended and 2.5 to 4.4mm connectivity.
Resolutions up to 32bit/768kHz and DSD256 are supported as is Bluetooth coding (i.e. bidirectional LDAC/SBC, unidirectional HWA/aptX HD/aptX). On the front is a 119mm Sharp IPS HD display while the 4000 mAh battery lasts up to 12 hours with ‘quick charge’ (in two hours) included.
Out in world-wide terms soon after 19 September 2019, it is sized at 135.5 x 68.5 x 17 mm. the M6 weighs about 220g.
Priced at €499 (the dollar price is the same).
