EVO 1…ONLY IN THE UK & PRICE DECREASE!

OK, I initially thought that this was a none story but it ain’t. It started out as a colour change snippet and grew from there

There are a couple of extra EVO nuggets and we’ll get to those in a second. 

First up though is that colour change. The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO – one of my favourite turntables in modern times for the price – is now available in a satin black finish. Which looks very nice indeed. So, there’s that. 

Possibly of more interest is that this turntable is actually available to buy again. Didn’t know if you noticed, I didn’t, that this turntable was off the shelf for a while, mainly because the EVO II had succeeded it. Thus the EVO I was officially retired. And it still is in many territories. But not in the UK. Not now, anyway.

Why? Because, Henley Audio, the UK distributor of Pro-Ject, noticed a ‘We Love You!’ spike in the UK whenever the EVO was mentioned in polite conversation. And I, for one, have been doing a lot of that for many months now. 

So UK turntable fans only can now buy an EVO I turntable all over again.

More than that? The price of the EVO has dropped from £499 to £449. More good news then.
