ELVIS PRESLEY TURNTABLE FROM PRO-JECT

Yesterday I posted news of an Elvis Presley-themed cassette player from We Are Rewind, using the comeback logo as a backdrop. Well, now we have news of an Elvis Presley-themed Pro-Ject turntable using exactly the same imagery

Why is that, I wonder? Is it an Elvis estate directive? Surely the duplicate imagery is more than a coincidence?

Whatever the approved art, we are in anniversary territory here. It’s been 90 years since the birth of Elvis Aaron Presley.

This limited-edition design from top turntable tweakers, Pro-Ject has been based on Pro-Ject’s T2 turntable, featuring a CNC-machined plinth with integrated, dimmable LED lighting that illuminates a shouty ‘ELVIS’ logo.

Part of the Artist Collection of turntable designs, the design also features a 9” aluminium tonearm, adjustable spring-based anti-skating system, and a factory-fitted Sumiko Rainier cartridge. A 10mm, 1.7kg glass platter can either spin at 33 or 45 RPM.

Expect to find a dustcover, felt mat, singles adapter, power supply and included RCA cable, in the box. 

Price is either: £1,199 or €1,399.
