Furutech’s new top-tier, off-the-reel loudspeaker cable, the DSS-4.1, features Furutech’s OCC-DUCC conductors
The conductors are constructed using a combination of the company’s own Alpha-treated Ohno Cast Copper (OCC) with Ultra Crystallized High Purity Copper (DUCC), developed by the Materials division of Mitsubishi.
The Mitsubishi DUCC conductor begins with an extremely pure oxygen-free copper, “…which is then processed using new technology, reducing the number of crystal-grain boundaries,” said the company.
“Since the copper molecules/crystals that make up the conductor wire are elongated in the direction of the conductor, fewer crystal boundaries occur within any length of wire,” said the company.
All metal parts are treated with Furutech’s two-stage ‘Alpha’ cryogenic and demagnetization process, designed to render the metal stress-free, stable and electrically conductive.
Furutech’s DSS-4.1 loudspeaker cable is available now priced at £350 per mono metre.
