D900 DAC FROM TOPPING 

Using proprietary 1-bit decoding technology, Topping’s new box is its top-tier DAC

Inside is a discrete 32-element 1-bit ‘PSRM’ (Precision Stream Reconstruction Matrix) DAC architecture – developed entirely in-house and supporting 32bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512.

The power supply for the D900 has been designed to prevent current fluctuations.

Jitter is also targeted via the built-in CPLD (Complex Programmable Logic Device) clock.

The preamplifier stage uses a volume control with 18 analogue relays (nine per channel).

The D900 includes a fully balanced analogue circuit design and a Parametric EQ facility if you want to fiddle about (as The Who once said).

On the front is a two-inch (51mm) colour display with the company’s Aurora UI

An aluminium-encased remote control is also included.

Distributed by Electromod in the UK, the D900 DAC/preamp is available from £1,799.
