Combining a CD transport, a fully balanced tube (valve) output stage and an integrated high-end DAC, the top-loading CD Box RS2 Tube uses a SUOS DM-3381 Red Book CD drive, with an aluminium construction
SUOS-HiFi? Formerly Stream Unlimited Optical Storage and founded by former Philips CD engineers, this company is based just north of Vienna (near Pro-Ject’s headquarters), where it continues to develop CD mechanisms.
A central feature of the CD Box RS2 Tube is its fully balanced tube output stage, which employs two E88CC vacuum tubes.
The output stage is available in both fully balanced XLR and single-ended RCA connections.
Available in black or silver finish, it features an external power supply, a LCD that shows track, time and CD text information plus an aluminium remote control.
