New features of the Carina line-up include a newly developed JET tweeter and compound curvature aluminum woofer
The company doesn’t have a great deal to say about the Carina tweeter apart from its “responsive” performance.
As for the compound curvature cone? It has been developed to, “…control the cone breakup and move it well beyond the operating range of the woofer,” said the company.
You get curved satin painted cabinets with cast aluminium features and a diamond cut ring surrounds the drivers.
Downward firing ports are added for flexible speaker placement.

You wrote nothing in your review except for a physical description of the speaker and some passing comments. How exactly are you ‘the audiophile man’ ?

Hi – please note the headline area at the top of the piece. This is a news item only, not a review.

We would really like a review of these new Elac’s vs a couple of the top established speakers in this price range, eg KEF LS50 and Ascend Sierra 2, maybe even the new Sierra 2EX. A. Jones has done well in the value oriented end of the market but he has some tough competition at this price point.
