Billie Jean earphones by Astell&Kern

Astell&Kern has introduced Billie Jean, the latest in its Siren series of earphones – engineered by in-ear monitor specialist, Jerry Harvey Audio

Billie Jean combines patented Jerry Harvey Audio technologies.

Reportedly, Jerry Harvey made the “first ever two-way, custom-fit earpieces”, created when he was a sound engineer touring with the rock band, Van Halen.

These examples feature the patented ‘freqphase’ waveguide technology. A two-way, dual balanced armature design plus a new “internal sound bore” plus a cable made from a combination of Kevlar and silver-coated copper.

The included pack arrives with three sizes of silicon eartips and a carry case.

Price is £299. The earphones will be available from a range of UK retailers later in May.
