The B Series of amps from Musical Fidelity blazed their own pathway back in the 90s well now it’s back…
…with a fully-discrete transistor-driven Class A/B amplifier pushing out 60W in 8 Ohms and backed by a meaty toroidal transformer.

Inside is a built-in moving magnet phono amplifier while a digital input stage is separated onto isolated PCBs with a dedicated linear power supply.

HDMI, Bluetooth, coaxial and optical inputs are included as is a motorised volume control.

A headphone amplifier is included too.

Available is a black finish, with aluminium buttons and volume dial, price is £699.

Paul, I’m sure you don’t know the answer, so this is more of a musing. How can an amp – from a great company, no doubt = that’s only just been announced (and which absolutely no-one has reviewed yet) win the EISA Best Value Ampifier award 2025?
You’re right, I have no idea. I will ask though. Maybe they submit an early pre-release version to a panel?
