It makes a change to see a music review that doesn’t just cover LP records (as they were once called). A bit of both, most times. Don’t get me wrong, I am pleased that “vinyl” has regained popularity and turntables are regular features in magazine and online reviews but let’s not forget the considerably large number of us who have retained CDs and players along with a modicum of wealth when we didn’t splash out on the cost-inflated “vinyl” comeback. I stopped streaming at the start of the year because, well, it just wasn’t doing it for me anymore. I’m much more excited to flick through CDs – new or battered second hand ones – and buy one or even order one… the excitement of a new purchase or arrival of a new purchase will always trump on-tap 24/7 streaming for me. Just some rambling thoughts, Paul. Keep up the good work.
