Hi Paul, once again fantastic review, you are like a poet of the hifi reviews. Many thanks!!! 🙂

Just a quick question, in my case I love the internal dac of my Audiolab 6000 A (Sabre 9018), a lot of times I compare this internal dac with my external dac SMSL M500 (Sabre 9038) and cannot see too many differences or in some cases I feel that the internal audiolab dac sounds better.

What’s your point of view regarding this? The internal audiolab 9000 A dac is worse or better than the average external dac in the range of u$s 500 (US dollar)?

Many thanks again, your points of view are always really important for me.

    Best Regards,

Thanks Gustavo – on the DAC? Well, it’s very nice. There’s nothing wrong with it at all. Put it this way, if you liked the 6000A’s DAC then you should really like this one.
