Stilla loudspeaker From Aequo Audio
4th May 2018
Dutch loudspeaker outfit, Aequo Audio, is about to launch a new loudspeakers model called Stilla
The floor standing Stilla, a curved speaker, is built by hand from materials developed in-house, formed by temperature and pressure from special artificial stone.
The midrange driver has been developed by Aequo Audio, it, “…holds firm grip on a mineral filled PP cone,” said the company.
The Stilla comes with two 179mm subwoofers, actively powered by two Ncore 250W amplifiers, each positioned opposed at 45 degrees to, “cancel out all sideway vibrations”. Also included is Aequo’s F40 high frequency transducer. Being fitted to Aequo’s acoustic lens (EHDL) it, “opens up the sweet spot”.
By using the ARPEC bass-control system, each speaker can be adjusted regarding its placement in the room as well as for the size of the room in conjunction with a DSP.
