The ORIGINE S2 CD player/converter: Constrained But Low In Vibration
30th December 2016
It spans 460 x 407 x 150mm, weighs in at a meaty 25kg and arrives within a constrained layer chassis, assembled from five different materials, including copper, Hi-MACS and aluminium.
The ORIGINE S2 rests on three B1 supports with integrated Zero Vibration technology to create, says the company, “…a resonance-free environment.”
The transport is based on a DVD-ROM drive that has been modified by NEODIO.
Meanwhile, the 24bit/192KHz DAC, fitted within the same chassis, uses a second generation discrete analogue clock.
ORIGINE has two (SPDIF and USB) digital inputs with absolute phase inversion on the analogue outputs.
Offering a white display with three modes, the unit arrives with an aluminium and white PMMA remote control with amplifier control. Price is €35,000.
