Melody X All-in-One From Marantz
9th April 2019
Marantz has launched the Melody X all-in-one hi-fi system featuring CD playback, DAB, streaming, voice control and multi-room via built-in HEOS technology
It includes four channels of digital amplification, so you can drive two pairs of speakers with independent volume control for each pair. Alternatively, you can configure it to drive a single pair of speakers for bi-amping or in PBTL (Parallel Bridge Tied Load) Mode with double the output power.
Built-in HEOS technology lets you stream digital music (up to 24bit/192kHz or DSD 2.8/5.6MHz) controlled via an app from Spotify, TuneIn Internet Radio, Sound Cloud, Tidal, Napster, Deezer or your local music files. You can also stream audio from any iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV via AirPlay 2.
Spoken commands can be issued with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Apple Siri.
The unit allows you to connect your digital TV or cable/satellite set-top box and a Blu-ray or DVD player to either of the two digital audio inputs. The Melody X can automatically wake when sensing an audio signal from the television and can be programmed to work with your TV’s remote for volume, mute and source selection.
The Melody X’s front panel features an OLED display, with numerical and text display from a wide-angle view.
Available from 9 April in black or silver-gold finishes, price is £629.

I own one of them. Better than the Denon Ceol sound quality wise. Gives that nice and warmer Marantz sound. A very nice machine, one of the best mini systems in the £500-£1000 bracket
