L100 Classic Speaker From JBL
29th March 2019
In 1970, JBL released a consumer version of the 4310 Pro Studio Monitor, the L100. The retro design is now back sporting a vintage Quadrex foam grille in black orange and blue!
The reissued speaker includes new drivers, crossover network and more.
This 3-Way design includes a walnut veneer enclosure…
…with black painted front and rear panels.
As for the drivers? There’s a whopping 300mm JW300PW-8 pure pulp cone woofer that sits below a 130mm 105H-1 polymer-coated pure pulp cone midrange while the 25mm tweeter is a JT025Ti1 titanium dome design.
The rear is sealed to aid room positioning but there’s a front-firing port included…
…with adjustable mid- and high-frequency level controls included at the top.
It includes a 90dB sensitivity, measures 637 x 390 x 372mm while each cabinet weighs in at 26.7kg. Price is £4,000 for the pair.
