Helium & Argon Speakers from Amphion: Tweaks and Redesigns
16th December 2017
Stand-mounted Argon and Helium speakers undergo redesign from the Finland-based company
Tweaks a-plenty from Amphion. The new Helium410 and Helium510 uses a new tweeter that provides a wider listening area. The smallest Helium and Argon models provide a repositioning of the reflex tube to right behind the woofer.
The Helium410 and Argon0 desktop speakers already have a new design of their woofer grid. It has been adjusted to be just like the grids of all other Amphion models.
The Helium410 (£480) features a 25mm titanium tweeter and 114mm paper-based mid-bass unit, spans 259 x 132 x 220mm and weighs in at 3.5kg.
The Helium510 (£720) uses the same tweeter but a 140mm mid/bass unit, spans 316 x 160 x 265mm and weighs 7kg.
The Argon0 (£720) follows similar specs to the Helium410 but the mid/bass unit uses an aluminium mid/bass unit, spans 259 x 132 x 220mm and weighs 4kg.
The Argon1 (£1,040) uses a 140mm version of that aluminium mid/bass unit, spans 316 x 160 x 265mm and weighs in at 8kg.
All the redesigned models are already available and shipping. The prices remain unchanged.
