I have to say, I’m unbelievably impressed with this app on my Mac. I was sceptical, even when I read the reviews in the professional press, but gave it a try anyway expecting to be singularly unimpressed. Music does indeed sound cleaner, purer, better. I subscribe to Apple Music for both convenience and for finding new music – and played through Audirvana, Apple Music files play wonderfully – miles better than iTunes.
edit… after having a further play it seems that I’m not actually playing Apple Music files, but those previously ripped to iTunes. It still sounds amazing in fairness, but I am a bit confused as to how the app decides which files it syncs with iTunes and which it doesn’t…
