MU1 Digital Music player From Grimm

7th May 2019

Seen as a source for third part DACs or the company’s own LS1 series

Based upon a Linux-based computer system, the MU1 includes in-house designed FPGA interface board, that forms the heart of the MU1 plus, “…our trademark ultra low jitter clock,” said the company.

The MU1 runs a Roon Core server, so no extra installs are necessary although, “For customers who prefer to only run a simple playback system without Roon’s extras, we offer a solid alternative.” A Grimm creation perhaps? I have no other details on that one I’m afraid.

The guys at Grimm looking decidedly happy…or is that the beer?

Spanning 355 x 85 x 295mm, it supports Tidal, Spotify Connect and Qobuz. An optional internal SSD is available and external USB and NAS storage is possible. You’ll also find AES, S/PDIF and optical inputs are included. Price is £TBA.
