MA-01 Flexible Amplifier From KJF Audio

19th June 2019

Flexible? Indeed, enough that each MA-01 sold can be a custom built device, configured from a website menu while the company makes construction a standard process, keeping the price relatively low

As the company explained, “In this way, the customer can buy a MA-01 amp that matches their needs without Stefan (the designer) having to do a ground up custom build for each customer. This locks in the cost saving for the customer associated with production line techniques while maintaining a flexible design. So flexible it can even be reconfigured should the customer decide at a later date.”

The design utilises the Hypex N-core modules. They come in a range of power output from 100W to 500W. The amplifier itself can be configured with up to eight channels so a customer can have a 2-channel 125W mono-blocked amplifier or two 500W, two 250W and two 125W for their active speakers. In fact, there are many different configurations possible.

Prices vary widely, depending on your choice and you do choose as well, from a menu on the site. I have had quick dabble myself and found myself looking at £1,700. So you’re vagely in that ball park. But the final amount could be a lot less. Check out the link and have a look to clarify what I’ve babbling on about.
