Ekstra Floorstanding Speaker From Neat 

Utilising the Neat Ultimatum XL6 configuration, the top section of the Ekstra is sealed off from the lower, incorporating two sealed chambers and operating as a two-way infinite baffle loudspeaker

What you get with this brand new design is, in the upper section, a 50mm ribbon tweeter and a 134mm bass/midrange unit (which will be familiar to owners of the Neat Motive and Iota Alpha). It has a treated paper cone with a flared profile. Both are both mounted on a specially profiled sub-baffle attached to the main cabinet via a de-coupling polyethylene membrane.

The lower section of the Ekstra is ported and houses two of the 134mm bass drive units (so, three in all then). One unit is located on the bottom panel, facing the floor, whilst the second is located internally, directly above the first, in a cone-to-magnet, in phase, sealed isobaric arrangement, handling only low frequencies and acting as an integral subwoofer system. 

The port is specially tuned to enable close to wall placement of the speaker in most rooms.

The Ekstra is slim at 17cm wide and is 110cm tall (and weighs 18kg with a 86db sensitivity). The footprint is pretty darned small.

Available in American Walnut, Black Oak and Satin White, the new design is available from April 2019, the price is £2,999.
