AirPlay 2 Firmware Update For Onkyo

Onkyo has announced a firmware update that will add Apple AirPlay 2 capabilities to selected AV products
This update spans the TX-RZ5100 AVR released in 2016 to the TX-NR686 model released in 2018.
The following components will support Apple AirPlay 2:
AV Receivers
TX-RZ5100, TX-RZ3100, TX-RZ1100, TX-RZ830, TX-RZ730, TX-NR686 & TX-L50
Home Theatre System
LS5200
Network Stereo Receivers
TX-L20D & TX-8270
To automatically update your compatible network-connected Onkyo product, enter the system set-up menu and follow the instructions or visit www.uk.onkyo.com to download the update and perform the installation manually.

do you think they will extend this update to the TXNR676
Good question Aaron but the company seems to release these updates out of the blue, as it where, so I’m never really sure what’s going to be covered or when. Sorry I can’t help further.
